Walmart / Restaurants

HI

Just planning our 1st trip 1st day.

We land at 2pm hopefully be at hotel (Universal Endless Summer Dockside) by 4pm? (TUI Transfer)

After we have unpacked, we would like to go for a meal and to Walmart. We will be using uber, which walmart is the easiest to get to, and do any of them have restaurants nearby? So we don't have to uber to a restaurant then uber to walmart then uber back!

Thank You

Sadly we've never stayed on I-Drive and always hire a car so my contribution is based purely on web research not personal experience.

If you locate your hotel on Google Maps and search nearby "Walmart" it shows one on Sand Lake Road around 4 miles away.

If you expand the area around that Walmart you'll find a Logans Steakhouse (similar to Longhorn) around 3 minute walk away. Also a Denny's (typical American chain) a few minutes walk away.

Sadly what I know about Uber can be written on the back of a postage stamp.

Mick

PS There's also a large Walmart on Turkey Lake Road which seems a similar distance from your hotel. There's an Olive Garden nearby but a dangerous crossing of the Interstate maybe on foot

We always unpack then go to Walmart on Turkey Lake Road & have the McDonald’s in the store, saves time especially when you’re tired😉
It’s not too far from the Universal hotel either as we stay on IDrive, have a google you’ll see it’s not far

The closest Walmart to your hotel is the one on Turkey Lake Road about 3 miles away. We generally go to a quick serve place rather than a proper sit down meal, we are normally too tired. There is an Applebee's very close to where you are staying which might do.

As above, closest Walmart is Turkey Lake. I also agree with the above about being too tired for full service meal.
We stayed at the Endless summer in November and there is an IHOP over the road, just a quick walk.
Also, if you dont want to leave the hotel again, you can buy a whole pizza from their QS (its cheaper than individual slices! ) and i would really recommend!

I think you will be very lucky to be at your hotel by 4, it’s not impossible but it’s highly Unlikely, you could be in immigration for 2hrs, it all depends how many flights arrive at same time and if they have many immigration officers working

They say they are doing a Tui transfer so I assumed that they were into SFB? Not too many other international arrivals.

Google says around 45 minutes so I guess it will depend on how many stops your transfer has to make. We haven't used SFB since 2008 but regular Tui users say it's much quicker through immigration compared with MCO. Apart from Tui SFB handles mostly domestic flights
