We took a stroller for my then 4 year old at end of August 18. Going again this year at same time of year, he will be 6 and we are definitely still taking it. I think it depends on the child and the time of year, for us it isn’t so much the amount of walking but walking in such humidity. It really took it out of him last time and he sometimes even had a little nap in the stroller. I would rather take it than risk him being out of sorts because he’s so wiped out!

We took one when DS was 5 and used it loads (didn't use one at home then) took it again when he was 7 and only used it twice (night time fireworks etc so he could sleep)

We took a double buggy last year for my 6 and 3 year old. They walk everywhere at home but with all the walking and heat they needed a rest/nap sometimes on the long days.
We're going back this year and I'm taking the double buggy again. Like someone else said it was also somewhere to keep out lunch/snacks and suncreams etc.
I got the buggy on gumtree, it was immaculate and think I paid about £40 or £50. My SIL has also borrowed it for 2 holidays so it's been well worth the money.
