Yes it is. When we rent our points via an intermediary they pay between $16-17.

Actually it's not far off Dave's DVC rental prices, $19 for non-premium & $20 for premium not sure what the UK market is

That depends on who you comapre it with.
David's rentals would cost $19 a point, so $3,192 but very restrctive with no cancellation, whereas a member renting might allow a new booking but with restrictive dates If avaiilable US Disney would charge around $5,900 plus $25 per night parking but with the possibilty of an offer and with cancellation. While on UK Disney an SSR studio is currently unavailable. Also consider those dates are still available to book by any DVC member at SSR so there might be other members who would consider less than $19 per point. But that's the only resort with 12-nights availability for your dates. If SSR wasn't available but the member had a confirmed booking for those 12-nights then $20 per point is a reasonable charge seeing there's no other alternative and you're also saving over $2,700 plus $300 in parking charges if you hire a car. That $2,700-$3,000 saving would cover dining plans for 2 adult and 2-child so basically a deluxe room at full rate with free dining. Also consider if renting in $ it might cost you more than in £'s from a Dibber as there's also no currency fees to worry about. Good luck. |
