Credit card for charges - advice needed

My son is travelling over later in the year staying at POR. He doesn’t have a credit card to add to his account but I am willing to let him register mine if it is allowed. Could anyone advise if he can register a card in someone else’s name? TIA

I am pretty sure my card is registered to our account which is in my husbands name.

make him an authorised user on your credit card account, your credit card provider will issue him a card in his name... you'll get the bill of course
