Never buy chocolate always make it from scratch

Here are the ingredients (and amounts) you need on hand to make your own raw chocolate.
1/2 cup cocoa butter
1/2 cup virgin coconut oil
1/2 cup (raw) organic cocoa powder
1/4 – 1/2 cup agave syrup for sweetening
(organic honey, stevia or raw cane sugar okay too; or you don’t have to use any sweetener at all)

Im assuming you just heat all this up and use the same as melted chocolate in recipes? I like the idea of it being more natural!

Cooking chocolate is rank.
I use Sainsbury’s basics dark chocolate mainly. It’s excellent! Never splits in a ganache either like some do

On the cheap at school we made rice crispy nests with the kids before the holidays and I shopped at Aldi. The dark chocolate was ok but the milk stuff went claggy and split and wouldn't coat the crispies. The kids still enjoyed making and eating them but wouldn't buy it again.

If you want to make your own chocolate and lovely recipes with it, you can't go wrong with Rosen Trevithick's "Chocolate Making Adventures: Create Your Own Chocolate"
I helped her out by testing the recipes when she was writing it and telling her where I went wrong.
I'm the worst cook ever so if I could manage it, just about anyone can.

I found some left over 2 year old Dr Oetker milk chocolate drops in the cupboard the other day and am eating them as they taste lovley.
