Miami/Naples advice
Hi, looking for some advice and suggestions please.
In May 2020 we have flights arranged into Miami and home from Orlando. We’ve been to Florida many times but only stayed in Orlando and Clearwater previously. We are thinking of doing 2 nights in Miami (or us Fort Lauderdale better/nicer?) and then 4 nights in Naples before moving up to Orlando. Wondered if anyone had any recommendations you could share please. Looked at Inn on Fifth which looks nice or Naples Beach Club? Just myself and my husband travelling he will be 60 next year, we like fairly nice accommodation but doesn’t have to be mega upscale, and nice food and drinks. Many thanks |

Hi there we have just come home, we flew into Miami and then drove to Fort Lauderdale and stayed in the grand pelican beach, really lovely hotel right on the beach, room was gorgeous highly recommend that hotel. We also stayed in Naples we had a condo at the Lely Resort also really lovely. Last time though we stayed at inn on the 5th, very central hotel, nice rooms easy to walk to restaurants etc. Also they took us to the beach for the day providing chairs and umbrella etc. Would recommend that too, have fun.

We’ve stayed at Naples bay resort - they have a hotel part and a condo part. It’s not on the beach but we really like it!

We stayed at the Pelican Grand last year as well and really liked it! In fact, we are talking about flying from Miami again next year and adding on a few nights here.
Also, the Naples Beach Hotel and Golf Club is LOVELY! It isn't close to the town though, but there is an amazing beach and lovely pool. It's always been pretty quiet when we've been (we've stayed there twice). If you want to have a look at some photos from both hotels there are loads on my trip report from last year: https://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/sho... php?t=1096262

The Inn is lovely and ideally situated. We usually stay at the Bellasera which is also fab.

We stayed in the Trianon Old Naples which was in a great location between Tin City and Fifth Ave.
