Car Hire and Credit Cards
Hi,
We have booked our car hire through eBookers with Alamo (arriving in Orlando next month). My OH will be the sole driver on the trip and as such the car has been booked in his name. My concern is over providing a credit card on collection of the car as he does not have one... we did mention this at time of booking and was reassured it would be fine but I am keen to know if anyone else has been in the same position? Is it possible to use a debit card as an alternative? Or my own credit card to hold against our account? Thanks! |

Any card be it credit or debit (with either the Visa or Mastercard logo on) is fine. Also all they want is a swipe so yours will be ok as well.
As posted before - dont forget some people have a new card issued between booking the car and actaully picking it up which normally results in some of the card numbers changing and there's never a problem
