For "free" yes we get this instead of cheaper room rates like the US, would I pay for it? Definitely not it's just for convenience, I could easily eat half of the food the DDP provides so if paying OOP I wouldn't spend anywhere near as much. It is nice knowing it's all paid for though!

I wouldn't pay for QSDP - although it's nice to have free. You could have a look through some menus from the quick service restaurants you think you would go to and price up what you would be likely to order to give you some idea whether you would gain or lose.

You can buy the refillable mugs without the QSDP for $17.99 each to cover the length of your stay - definitely a good buy for 14 nights but I am not sure they would be worth it for 3 nights only.

We paid for the regular dining plan out of pocket and it cost us £1500 for 2a 2c for 14 nights. We did it largely for 2 reasons:

We normally budget $100 a day for meals and mostly eat offsite. The exchange rate was awful at the time which meant that was going to cost us about £1200. We thought it was worth the extra to eat onsite and have all our snacks covered.

It stops me from being a cheap dad when I get there! I'm notoriously tight when it comes to spending money and last time we had barely any snacks, would share QS meals etc... With it all covered the rest of my family can get on with the holiday they want to have without me worrying how much spending money we have left.

Just crunch the numbers=QSDP $48.19
Mug = $6
Snack = $10
Leaving you $32.19 for 2 CS meals

Interestingly the longer you have it the less it makes sense as the big difference is the Refillable mug e.g.
14 days:
Mug = $1.29
Snack = $10
Leaving $36.90 for 2 Cs meals

Personally I don't see it saving you money but if you want to pre-pay for 3 days meals ...

I wouldn't bother purchasing QSDP for three days. I expect I would spend less than that or very close.
