Fastpass for old newbie

We are returning to Florida after 11 years of wandering over to the other coast. Staying offsite in a villa in early October next year. Now our park routine never varies much, generally there at rope drop or soon after, do what we need to do, then leave in the early afternoon for pool time. So, do we need to book fastpasses or will we be able to get by with just rolling up and joining the queues? In the past we never queued longer than 20 mins doing this, or has it all changed?

Has it changed? In a word, yes! You will obviously be able to get on rides but fastpass is brilliant for cutting down on waiting times and guaranteeing you can get on the popular rides without long waits.

If you aren't sure on what parks you'll be doing on which days then I'd just book fast passes following the busy day guide and book your 3 fast passes for between 9am-1pm. Early October isn't a super busy time but in my opinion it's free so you might as well book them! If you change plans etc then you haven't lost out on anything.

Right. So a fair bit of forward planning required closer to the time. Can fasrpass be booked in the parks like before as well?

Yes a bit of planning before will definitely help save time while you're there, even if it's just half an hour jotting down the busy days and which rides you want to fast pass.

You can book them in the parks but on kiosks that you tap your ticket or magic band too rather than a paper version. You can also book another on the MDE app on your phone once you've used your 3rd one.

There's some great detailed info on the dibb guide here - https://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/Dis...s--p-1042.html

Thanks for the link, great help. Makes it easier now I know you can book FP for groups, didn't relish doing it individually.
