Universal Express Passes – October 2017?

After some general DIBB thoughts and insight please.

We are visiting Orlando for the 2nd and 3rd weeks of October later this year (2017).

Staying onsite at Disney, we have factored two days to cover USF and IOA (we also have a third contingency day if needed). We also have allowed another day for Volcano Bay.

We have purchased the Universal 3 park Explorer UK tickets, allowing access to all three parks (IOA/USF/VB) over the 14 day period and we plan to spend 1 day at USF/IOA in the first week and 1 day at USF/IOA in the second week.

My question is, should we consider Universal Express Passes for those weeks in October? If so should we wait until we arrive at the parks or purchase them in the UK (currently showing as £70 on the Universal UK website)? There are three of us in our party, and we plan to hit the parks at general opening.

I understand it's possible to purchase a Universal overnight package to receive the benefits of the Universal Express Passes and early hours, but as we have accommodation sorted, and as we plan to visit the Universal parks over the 14 days (not consecutive days) that doesn't seem a viable option to me.

Any thoughts/advice appreciated.

Always your choice on whether or not to go for Express passes... my view would be Yes.

BTW, you can book a room at RPR most nights in October for £265 via several on-line sites... less any Quidco or TCB you may be a member of, so for £55 more thatn you're contemplating paying for one day of FOLP - you get a room ( if you want it ) and 2 days of FOLP.
