Too give a little extra on the malls.

Tyrone has Macys JC Penny and Dillards as main department stores. It lost its Sears in Jan and they are building a Dicks Sports shop there.

The mall is at the Junc of Tyrone Blvd and 66St N. On 66th St N next to the mall you also have Best Buy Michaels and Marshalls. On the other side TJ Maxx and Ross.
About a mile up Tyrone Blvd you have a Target and a Walmart another mile further on. (Walmart just before Target is now closed but Sat NAvs seem to still have it).

If you follow the road uptowards clearwater (Now Seminole rather than Tyrone) on about a mile after Walmart you will find another TJ Maxx and Burlingtons. Turn left at the -Tlights after them on to Park Boulevard and you get Ulta and Stein Mart at Seminole. Carry on Park Blvd and you reach the coast at North Reddington Beach. Turn right here and you will get to Indian Rocks in about a mile

The Clearwater Mall (Westfield - previously Countryside Mall)is on 2 floors has an ice rink and also includes a Sears. It also has a TJ Maxx and Ross across the road and a Burlingtons a few blocks back along US 19.

International Plaza in Tampa is next to Airport and is more like the Mall of Millenia for shops and a little more upmarket.

Forgot to add. After shopping in Tyrone Mall you could go North on 66th Street North that eventually joins US 19 (K-Mart on right a few miles up) and US 19 leads to the Westfield Clearwater mall. On the way at Gulf to Bay Junction you can stop off for Costco Ross and Target in the shopping plaza there (also an Ulta). A few miles on the Westfield mall although Burlingtons is just before it. So its possible to do a couple of malls and all the bargain type shops in 1 day and still get a fix in Costco. If you are a glutten for punishment on the way back there is a Sams club (google 1 day pass) to really have a shopping bonanza. Forgot to add Gulf to Bay also happens to lead to International Plaza (via US 60 to Tampa Airport) so you could really go for it

Hi folks. Are Ellenton and Miromar outlets cheaper than the Orlando outlets? Thanks

Generally yes, they are cheaper. But they are also much less crowded and generally have better stuff that isn't all pawed over. These malls cater much more to locals than tourists and benefit greatly for this.
I hate the Orlando malls. More so now because of the parking charge fiasco.

If you really want to go for it - head for Sawgrass Mills at Fort Lauderdale. A bit of a hike, but the best shopping in Florida.

For a few years, SR70 was my exit as I stayed at a villa off Lockwood Ridge Road. Will have to check that out if I'm down there again this year
