Best bike shop in Orlando

As a keen mountain biker I fancy visiting the odd bike shop or two when we go next week. Has anyone visited any good ones recently. We have a car so can drive but the closer to I drive the better.

You will struggle to find any MTB gear of any great quantity. We travelled quite some distance to try and keep my son happy and still didn't find a great deal. In fact there didn't seem to be many bike shops at all.

Go to the FOX shop at Florida mall & buy some clothing, there gloves & helmets are quite cheap.

I had been trawling the Orlando area regularly, looking for cycle stuff. Sports Authority have some decent clothing and Dick Sporting Goods have some stuff, but not a hugely different range and some of it is very expensive.

Then, whilst at Home Depot in Clermont (such is a villa-owner "vacation") I came across clermontbicycles

I only went in to have a look around, but left an hour later having paid a deposit on a nearly new Specialized road bike

It caused a few looks on the luggage belt in Gatwick when a HUGE cardboard box made its way into the baggage hall.

It's not the biggest shop in the world, but the bikes on sale range from weird "comfort bikes" all the way to seriously pricey carbon road bikes

Regards

Gary

Cheers tetrarch I'll take a look I've had a few specialized bikes and they've all been great. Don't think I could get away with taking a bike home though but you never know

There is a cycle shop in Kissimmee which at least on the website sells alot of stuff. Can't remember the name but a quick google search will.

My husband is a keen cyclist and often goes to Orange Cycles in Orlando and has bought plenty Road bike clothing. It does also have Mountain bike clothing. He also recommends Kykes Bike Shop in Orlando particularly if you are looking to go for shop ride outs.

Another vote for Orange Cycles

Or you can take a street view tour of the shop too
