A man recommended this to me on the plane in November, however we completely ignored his advice (don't know why) and drove past it to go to Millers. He said it was the best place to get a steak!
As we are at AKL we will definitely go a lot this visit as it will literally be 5 minutes from us.
Thanks for the review.

We discovered Texas Roadhouse after our first trip in 2012, they were just building the 192 restaurant.
We enjoyed it so much after our 2013 trip, we go 2-3 times each visit.
Tried all the others, but nothing compares, on price or quality.

Love the OPs idea of a side order of ribs with a Porterhouse, were we separated at birth?

Kids are eating steak now, so they're looking forward to revisiting too.

It is very busy and loud though !

Doesn't cope particularly well with large groups as a lot is booth seating so ensure if bigger party you do call ahead seating. Worth doing for smaller groups too.

Someone advised on here that you can ask for your food to be unseasoned. May be worth it - we don't cook with salt at all and the meal was nice but just way way too salty this time around.

Cactus blossom onion is good for a starter to share. Join the mailing list and you may get a free appetizer voucher.

We love Texas Roadhouse, and my favourite dish is the medallions and I always ask for them unseasoned and have a side of apple sauce.

But the best thing to eat there are the Rattlesnake bites, when we were there in 2015, on our first visit they had run out and I was so disappointed. When we back a week later, the waitress who had served us last time spotted us waiting for a table and came over with a portion "on the house" for us to munch whilst we waited

We love that place

This was our first night and last night dinner this year, we love it. Discovered it a few years ago. Especially love the fried pickles!

TR was the outstanding meal of our holiday last year, it'll probably be where we go for my Wifes birthday next week.
