Driving up from Miami - stop off point?
Hi all - I see it is about 3hrs/3hrs 30 to drive up from Miami - does any have recommendations of a place of interest/nice place for lunch to stop off on the way to break up the drive?
Thanks! |

It would depend on which route you are planning, if it's the turnpike there's a few places that have small food courts. If the 27, from memory a few dotted most of the way down. The food courts are linked to the fuel station's and are fairly new, the usual fast food places from what I can remember last year.

Ooo thanks - hadn't even thought about choice of route - was thinking may pick it depending on where I should stop off. Turnpike sounds like a good plan - some of the suggestions online were to go to places west of orlando which didn't seem to make whole lot of sense.

We did drive from Fort Lauderdale last year, and stopped off at Vero Beach (google Mullighans Beach Hut) - it was beautiful, better than Clearwater, we had a dip in the calm clear sea, and a lively meal at Millughans, with live soul music, a fan start to our holiday Going back we headed straight for Sawgrass Mill... huge shopping outlet with great food choices. Worth a day there too.

Lake Placid on the I27. Lovely small town known for its fantastic murals
Plenty of places for lunch including the usual Wendy's, Domino's, Subway etc |
