Virgin extra driver?

Hi

I know when you book with Alamo you normally get 1 free extra driver - which is all I need. However when I looked at the Virgin website it doesn't mention this but pushes to upgrade to the gold option with 3 extra drivers - has any one used virginh recently and still got the extra driver?

This holiday I am looking at splitting car hire into 2 (or possibly 3) sections and the Virgin looks best on 1 section and Alamo Brits on the other but only if I dont have to upgrade to gold.

Thanks

The offer with Virgin for extra drivers comes and goes. It's been gone a while now so I would hold for another few weeks and I suspect it will bounce back on. Tends to go in 6 week cycles.

You are right and this is really weird. With Virgin Atlanic there is no extra driver but with Virgin Holidays there is one free!
Bear in mind VA bookings are via VH anyhow.
However I haven't compared prices so there maybe a difference.

Thank you both - I've just checked and on my dates the prices are the same - so virgin holidays it is. Very odd - but definitely worth going for VH - it would have been an extra £140 for the extra driver and tank of fuel .

More money to add to my savings list (helps justify spending on other things in my head anyway).
