car hire when i'm there?

Hope someone can advise me on this.Staying on CBR in Aug not driving using magic express and resort transport but I would like to hire a car for 3 or 4 days to stay overnight at universal and do some shopping.Any advise how to go about this and where will I have to go to get a car are there any companies that will bring a car to your resort? thanks

You can arrange it from here and pick up at Disney or Car on The drive will deliver and pick up

I would look for a quote from Alamo Brits picking up at the car care centre at WDW. Come back with the price you get to see if it is good for your dates and car size.
Alamo will collect you from your Resort.

We have done this 2 ways. First from a hotel near DTD and 2nd from the car care centre. Booked from UK though. Can be done over there but we knew what we were doing and wanted as much sorted as poss.
When you go to book you just say where you want to pick car up from etc.

This is what we have done. We are staying at Disney and are having a car in the second week for 6 days to go to universal, Lego land and Aquatica.

We went with Alamo brits. Collecting at the Care care centre near to the ticket centre, magic Kingdom. If you call the Disney Car Care office on 407-824-3470 they will come and collect you and take you there!

Can I jump in and ask a question. If you pick the car up from Disney is that the only place you can return it to. We are staying onsite at Universal for the second part of our stay, but I can't see an option to return the car to the airport or somewhere close to Universal.

That should be an option with any of the car hire companies... and within the state of Florida, there is no 'one way' or 'drop off' charge for dropping off at a different rental office.

Only Alamo and National operate from the Car Care centre, it would be the most convenient pick up point from where you are though.

We booked with Hertz for middle of hol, we give them a call day before and they came and got us and dropped us back at old key west when we returned the car a few days later. They are at hilton , bonnet creak, opp dtd.
