Just checked the news and they
are suggesting that the eye may be staying out to sea (fingers crossed) stay safe if you are out here
Still looks like it's out to sea, hope it stays out there & really hoping it doesn't loop back on itself.
Take care everyone 😳

We went to a Busch Gardens yesterday and it was very quiet. The drive back was fun! We seemed to have been spared the worst of it, I feel for those on the coast. Looks like an inforced rest day it is then.
Stay safe everyone x

This may sound like a silly question, but for anyone out there at the moment, what is the weather like? Wet? Windy? Unlike anything else you've experienced?

We've seen pictures of Southern Florida and Daytona, but nothing of places we would recognize. Have you been told to evacuate, if so where are you meant to go? Are the hotels geared up for this sort of thing?

Stay safe and make the best of the situation.

Git friends currently in Davenport.
They had heavy rain and high winds, no visible damage or power cuts etc.
It's the coast that got it worse and the high tide in Jacksonville could mean lots of flooding sadly

We are in the four corners area in Lake. It's bad enough here, very gusty with heavy rain and we are on the outer edge. We still have power thankfully but are staying put and all our staff are with their families at home as well.

The potential for downed power lines and trees is a massive threat still today.

Keep safe everyone.

We're in Sunset Lakes in Osceola so no curfew but everything is closed anyway. Around 5am we had heavy rain and moderate wind. Currently breezy but dry with the sun trying to poke through the fast moving clouds. At home I call this the height of summer.

Hopefully it wont hit Florida and just stays over the coast and everyone stays safe. Please God! Hope everyone out there at the moment keeps safe, my thoughts are with you all, such a lovely country really hope the hurricane does not hit and stays over the sea as predicited.
Hi Tymba. I'm flying out next Saturday too with my kids. It looks like things aren't as bad as feared. The east has had a hammering so visiting the space coast might be problematic but Orlando looks fine (just very wet and windy with some power outages). It looks as if hurricane Matthew will swing back over the next week but it's too early to say whether it will hit Florida again. Even so it's expected to be downgraded to a tropical storm by then. Orlando airport have said they've not had any serious damage but will do further checks once the worst of the weather passes and it looks like they'll be open tomorrow. Fingers crossed things will be OK for our holiday and that nothing further serious comes from Matthew.

We are in pop century, staff keeping us updated. We have rain not to much wind at the moment. Were told to stay in our rooms early on but they have opened the food court. Disney should be open tomorrow is what we heard.
