I'm debating the exact same issue for October 2019. I just can't decide. We are booked for Port Orleans FQ at the moment.

Bit worried that the food at AKL might be too African based? All the restaurants there seem to have African theme - concerned the kids might not find choices they would like?

We do want to eat at Boma anyway though but just wondering about the QS options in AKL.

Sanaa Lounge looks fab - you can get the bread service there and a wine flight! Only discovered what a wine flight is yesterday thanks to this board and am very excited to try it!

Regarding refurbs, will they not offer a better resort anyway if there are refurbs?

I would have assumed that the move to a Deluxe would be a 'no brainer' but so many good reviews of PO.

the quick service options in AKL are more than enough to satisfy my lot; besides, we're not really going to be there all that much and it's so easy just to jump onto a bus to go somewhere to eat

We stayed last year and the Quick service had plenty for everyone, from burgers, to flatbreads and salads!
