As a kid i loved sitting on the pavement of main street with a snack or something watching the parade. Specifically Spectromagic, i just remember being amazed when Jiminy Cricket "switched off" all the main lights at the same time.

To this say Spectromagic is my fondest memory of visiting WDW as a child, and I hope I can experience one day the opportunity of taking my daughter to an evening parade.

I'll also email them to complain.

It just feels like such a key part of the MK experience has been taken away with no immediate view to replace

I never got the chance to go to WDW as a child but I went for my honeymoon 22 years ago and one of my happiest memories is watching Spectromagic on our last night in Florida in MK. I cried on the ferry on the way back to the car. It was so magical.

When we brought our eldest DD for her first trip when she was 3, she was chosen to blow out the lights for the start of the parade. This was another magical moment.

I am gutted that there isn't an evening electrical parade. I waited until we were here before I broke the news to DH. We didn't even stay for the fireworks at MK 2 nights ago. That's the reason why he isn't too keen on DLP, as he thinks the show at the castle isn't as good.

The Paint the Night parade in California was brilliant.
