waterproof camera recommendations

Hello, please could someone recommend a waterproof camera/camcorder, not too technical or expensive to take to Florida for use in waterparks/discovery cove. Or, is it easier/cheaper to buy over there. Thanks

We used a waterproof case for our iPhone and used it to take underwater photographs/video at Discovery Cove, the Waterparks and at the pool. Made good use of it, and although maybe not the quality you would get from an underwater camera we were pleased with the results.

We've got Olympus waterproof camera TG4 - really impressed with the photo quality.
Also take a go pro and let the kids mess around in the pool with that.

I can only agree with the Geordieprincess.

We have had 5 Olympus tough cameras over the years. We now have 2 that we take with us. Both fit in a small Lowepro case on a trouser/shorts belt and can be taken absolutely everywhere.

Our no1 is the TG4. It is high spec and takes great pictures easily, both in and out of the water. The lens is excellent and lets in a lot of light.

Our second is a Stylus TG870, lower spec and lower price but again, takes very good pictures.

I bought the disposable ones for £2 from Asda , great photos from Them as well. I wasn’t going to use it anywhere else so could t see the point of buying an expensive one .

Kitvision-£30 from Tesco , plus £15 for 64gb sd card. Fab videos. Used at aquatica, vb, and discovery cove. Best bit is it only cost £30, so didn't mind leaving it 'unattended' when swimming, queuing etc.
Also used when skiing earlier this year.
Sound quality a bit iffy, but then I can't really hear underwater too well either!
Definite buy imo.

We have a fuji XP120. We have had it a few years and the photos are fab. We use it as a "normal" camera too.
