US, IOA & Volcano Bay

So we have booked 2 nights at Loews Pacific. I didn't realise until recently that this allowed early entry to Volcano Bay so previously we were going to go 3 days to US & IOA when we were staying on site and then go to VB another day.

However it seems it might be better use to go early to VB one day and one day at IOA and one day at US.

Is this a better idea?

Also how do you get from the hotel to VB - is it walking distant or is there transport put on?

it's a good idea to do VB on early entry especially since you have Express passes for the harry potter rides, it's not essential to do Early entry at the other parks (and there might only be one that has EE during your stay)

you can't walk to VB unless you stay at CBBR and have a room key for that hotel

there is a free shuttle running between RPR and VB

just make sure your ticket is a 3 parks ticket and you can go to VB

That’s really good to know because I didn’t know you got early entry for VB! We are thinking of doing a 4 night stay at HRH at the beginning of our trip next year? So if we do, we can go there on our first morning when we are up early.

Do you know what early entry means? Is it an hour before normal opening time?

Yes, one hour before official park opening. There's usually one of the main parks and VB open early for hotel guests.

For our dates in July it show all 3 parks on all 3 days opening at the same time - 9am - how/when do you find out which days IOA/US open early?

Doesn't look like they've announced which park(s) will be the early entry as yet for the summer months.

Most of the year, it's IoA which is the early-entry park - however if you're going in July then you might find both theme parks will be early-entry as I'm sure they done that last year during the peak months. Not 100% sure on that last bit though so might be worth checking.

this is correct

peak times might see both parks with EE

the rest of the year usually IoA gets EE

and when USF closes early (HHN day for example) it's the Studios that get Early Entry instead of IoA

that's a rough rule of thumb, but of course, you know about "may change without notice and yada yada".
