Cashback Websites
We are looking to book our Disney holiday for 2019 later today and I've seen a lot of comments about using cashback websites. Can anyone give me more details on how this works as I've never used them before. I noticed a lot of mention quidco and topcashback. Not sure which one to go for.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks |

Depends on the value you are spending. Disney direct is 4% this weekend with quidco but only 3.15% with top cashback. Quidco give a £25 travel bonus if you book this weekend so that bumps up the cashback.
Tui are giving 2.5% on Disney package holidays this weekend with top cashback but generally on flight only sales or Tui on quidco is only coming in at 1% I haven’t checked any other TA’s though Hope this helps |

Basically you register on a cashback site, and everytime you do purchases online (like Disney as an example but also on other travel, shopping, insurance etc), instead of going directly to the retailer website in your browser, you click on a link on the cashback site. It still takes you to the same retailer but your visit and purchase is logged at the cashback site. The cashback site then behind the scenes have an ”affiliation” agreement with the retailer - basically the retailer pays the affiliated site for ”click throughs” that generate a sale. Once the reatiler has confirmed / validated that your visit resultet in a purchase, they will pay the affiliated site and in turn they then pay you (likely keeping a small portion for themselves for their profit).
I have been a member of Quidco for 10+ years and ramped up over those +£1,000 in cashback - and thats even with often forgetting to go via the cashback site) Quidco charge me £5/year but I easily get that back and more just when doing my annual purchase of home or carinsurance. Thanks for all the help. I have just joined quidco and opted in for £25 bonus. Will be booking the holiday later this evening through Walt Disney world website.
