A sunshine cruise at that time of year (short haul) really limits your choices.
I would suggest Mediterranean departing out of Venice or Athens if possible, to cruise the Adriatic or Greek Islands. Or something out of Barcelona and pray for good weather. The other would be the Canaries but to go from Southampton might take more days than you have available. Edited at 06:16 PM. |

We've booked France and Spain out of Southampton with RCI for this October. Did it last year and in 2013.
We don't bank on the weather but have been really lucky and had 2 days each trip sunbathing on deck and using the pools. Suits us as a relaxing break and at less than centre parcs for a balcony cabin we get a lot for our money. 2 hour drive to Southampton for us so it's a really nice easy break. If hot weather is a must though I agree with pp that you need to fly somewhere first. The first couple of days out of Southampton are cold! |

We have flown to Barcelona and cruised, also sailed to the Canaries and into the Med from Southampton.
If you fly it avoids the Bay of Biscay, 2 days of poorer weather and perhaps rough seas each way.
