Yes, the Alton Towers cable cars are also 10-person vehicles.
AT's Skyride apparently has a maximum throughput of 2880 people per hour (although I suspect its normally about half this). As a comparison, between CBR and HS there are roughly 5 buses an hour and each bus can probably carry around 60 people. So that's around a maximum of 300 people per hour - twice that for there and back.

I'm excited by this. I wonder how many gondolas there'll be as 800-3,000 people per hour capacity is quite a big range.
Also wonder if they're all on the same circuit (per line), i.e. whether it'll grind to a halt a la Haunted Mansion in order to let mobility scooters on and off. |

They have a very high throughput for very few workers and are very effective at what they do. Their downside is they are hard to disguise will look like a row of pylons . Still the idea of getting from your resort to a park via cable car in 10 minutes is a great selling point!

These things are notoriously unreliable. The ones at Alton Towers rarely operate these days and have to stop every time somebody arrives/departs in a buggy/wheelchair
I can;t imagine these been the nicest of places to spend time during a thunderstorm |
