I have a pair of sandals for EPCOT (we don't seem to do as much milage there) and then two pairs of Nike Air Pegasus my wife ditched the Nikes last year and went with sketchers Go walks and now swears by them.
I think more important than the trainer is to have two pairs and swap them this gives the air or memory foam a chance to re-align itself and we found this to make them much more comftable. I think we hit 25 miles one day ! |

Swap around with two or three pairs of different footwear- trainers, slip-ons and sandals/flip flops. I like Sketchers, but have other flip flops as well.

My wife swears by sketchers and flip flops. I'm a flip flop man, my eldest daughter, flip flops and my two younger ones, sketchers. We buy the lightest possible pair for them and they haven't complained or suffered once.

I ditched my trainers for Fitflops and they've been so comfortable compared to anything I wore previously.

I'd recommend steel toe cap boots given how crowded the parks are now. That should help protect the tootsies from crush injuries (particularly from the South American tour parties who seem to have limited spatial awareness (alongside faulty volume control settings)).
Beyond that, Skechers. |

I'd say make sure you have 3 pairs. My very light slip ins might be dry from the massive rain 2 days ago but I doubt trainers would be. If they are definitely giving rain then wear sandals.
