Mobile Buggy lock?

I'm taking my double buggy for my 3 and 5 year old for the parks.

Do i need to buy a lock for it to take with me or is it generally safe in the parks? X

I personally wouldn't buy a lock as the CMs move them all the time. There's hundreds and hundreds of strollers, vast majority are single or double baby joggers. We have a double baby jogger. Obviously I can't say 100% it'll be safe but there's literally hundreds and I'm yet to see one in a lock and like I say I can see it causing issues. I believe that if you lock it to a pole, fence or stationary object Disney can cut them.

We've never had any problems just leaving the buggy. The only thing we've done is hide any toys DD brought with her (dolls etc) in case a child fancied it and took it.

There are so many I wouldn't worry, most people had nicer ones than us anyway

I would always leave the rain cover on though because you never know when it is going to rain.

We had 2 issues with a stroller at WDW in multiple visits

the first one was a very big scare at the Kilimanjaro Safari.
they have 2 separate stroller parkings, and they very often move your stroller from one to the next.
Panic moment when you can't find your stroller in parking#1 where it's supposed to be, but all goes well when you check parking #2
(same issues happen at Epcot with the ginormous stroller parking at the Land pavillion ..)

the other issue we had was a bag of crisp stolen from our stroller ... by a squirrel ... sneaky little furry thing ... lol

I also agree with Alkel . We've seen CMs being really p...ed off by locks on stroller (or even people taking a wheel off)
They will move and rearrange strollers. A lock means it will be dragged around rather than rolled, and it could get damaged
And if you tie it to a tree, barrier, or whatever, yes, you will probably find your lock cut. And a buggy that cannot be moved could also become a hazard if for some reason you unwillingly park it in an area it's not supposed to be.

so, well ... don't.

just an advice though

customise your stroller as much as you can

tie color ribbons to the handle.
or make a sign with your family surname or kid's first name on it (you can find loads of printables on the internet, with characters, and licence plate like designs, and so on)

basically, you want to be able to spot YOUR stroller in the sea of strollers
and you also want the the next guest, who's got the very same stroller as you, immediatly notices that's not their buggy.

well, actually that's just like suitcases

We did exactly this when we used need strollers. We bought personalised suitcase ribbon in a really bright neon yellow. it made our strollers so much easier to find, even at night!

In The Unofficial guide they say the weirder the object the better - I think they suggest putting an object inside an old sock and tying it to the stroller... apparently this is weird enough to freak people out about poking through it!

Great ideas above! You'll spend so much time stroller hunting, especially at night when you have a tired toddler/baby and its dark, thats my favourite time to see a hundred strollers that all look the same!
