We take them. Have bought from Sports Direct over here or Walmart over there. Found them really helpful with the baking hot paths and rough surfaces.

I've bought a pair of water socks type things for me - and going to buy them for the rest of the family as I think they will be perfect. They all think they look naff, which they do.

But I don't care. :-)

Sorry to jump on this thread with what is probably a really silly question! If you have to take the shoes off for the slides, surely you have to leave them at the top and walk barefoot to retrieve them. Or am I missing something?!

We used these. Very comfy, and we were even asked where we got them from some people when we were on the Lazy River at TL.

I can only use Aquatica as an example, but most rides were fine wearing them. The ones where you needed to leave them, there are boxes at the bottom of the stairs. You pop them in there and pick em back up when down at the bottom.

Alternatively, you can hold them in your hands. There was only 1 ride that you couldn't do that on, but can't remember which one it was

They're a must for us. Fore the roughness more than the heat - poor DS got blisters all over his feet from being in the villa pool for 5 hours one day and the floor at the water parks is rougher than that.
