Mobile Onsite things to do (excluding parks)

I can’t help but feel even after numerous visits I haven’t spent enough time exploring onsite out of the parks. So it got me thinking of what things there are actually to do (besides the obvious mini golf etc)

I’ve currently got the monorail tour planned 🚝 and I’d like to have a dole whip whilst sitting on the poly beach.

What else could we do?

Mini-golf? There are the 2 to choose from.
You could look to see if there is anything going on at ESPN?

I think there are (or at least used to be) some walking trails through the woods at Fort Wilderness.

I like the idea of hiring a boat for an afternoon sailing around the Seven Seas Lagoon, i think they are available from all of the hotels around the lake.

If you play, there are some fantastic (real) golf courses

While I still haven't managed to get there, an evening in Trader Sam's bar is on my list for our next visit. The cocktails look amazing!

Carriage rides at Port Orleans Riverside, surrey bikes at POR or BW, horse riding at Fort Wilderness I believe.

I just saw you are staying at AKL - they seem to have a really good programme of activities. We're planning to do the Culinary Tour there that is at about 4pm each day - you get free samples from Sanaa and Jiko!

Edited at 03:21 PM. Reason: Adding something

are you going with kids (or just big kids?) We let our kids go on the pirates cruise during the day - it gave them a few hours out to themselves, and us a bit of free time to relax too.

You could tour all of the various resorts. For example, head to Animal Kingdom Lodge to see the animals on the savannah.

Visit the Boardwalk area - you can catch a boat from outside Hollywood Studios. Eat the kitchen sink and catch the piano duel in the evening at Jellyrolls.

As mentioned above, you can hire a boat and sail around the Seven Seas lagoon.

Visit Disney Springs and go bowling, watch a movie, go on the Character in Flight balloon ride, or try the Amphicars (you do have to pay for these, of course).
