I would imagine it would take more than 2 months - although admittedly the vehicles and track are near identical.

Amazing isn't it that a ride can be almost identical yet be so different...

Easter is busier - Soarin was shut... but hey ho, refurbs are needed, for safety if nothing else.

With both the water parks closing in close succession, does this mean I could be safe next Oct/Nov? Or do they both now close every year? Sure it used to be one every other year.

Both water parks go down like this every year - they may be reversed (TL could go down before BB), but one would probably be down.

Looking at the dates this time around - is it usual that one gets a 2 month refurb, and the other gets a 3 month refurb?

True - however, I would have thought that if they were going to do a refurb for a DAK attraction, it would have been done to finish before the evening activities open on Memorial Day in order to be able to spread the probable higher crowds around...
