It’s in the USA Today Article posted above Mitch. CDC confirm there will be no quarantine, but there will be the 3-5 day test. Directors of CDC have also given 2 interviews indicating the same.
That’s better than what it currently says, which is 7 day quarantine.

This is all so stressful. We fly in a month and have a 4 year old with us. What type of test is expected during the holiday and how do i organise it? We have to pay our balance in a couple of days and I'd really like a clear picture of what we need to so.

It’s looking like it will be an antigen (LFT) test 3-5 days after arrival for your 4 year old. No confirmation as yet but should be in the coming days. Hopefully when they confirm that, they’ll confirm how and where you get these tests and what you do with the results once you get them.
Edited to add: I’m only guessing it’s antigen based on the fact that’s what they want for pre-travel. I hope it is one.👍🏻 |

Which is why, not being double-jabbed, kids would have needed to read on! Anyway that post was from page 39 and is redundant now as it's been confirmed through the USA today article that the website is wrong, and the verbal CDC comments are correct.
You would have already known if you'd read page 40. I swear, pandemic of reading comprehension in this country! You're quoting a lot of old posts without reading the more up to date ones, waded in claiming the actual confirmed rule was 'fake news', and now look a little silly Edited at 09:17 AM. |

I've discussed our Plan B with the wife today:
If they are at home or accommodation based tests like an LFT and simple to pick up for free from a pharmacy or take an NHS one there with you then we will still go. If it requires finding, booking, paying for and then travelling all over for a test centre for it to be done in person somewhere then we will cancel and use a voucher to go elsewhere through B.A. It'll then just be the £148 I paid for QURED tests I've wasted but I can live with that. |
