Where you required to where masks in shops and at the major tourist attractions?

I can reply here if it helps. I arrived in 10 November and immigration was fine. Straight through in about 25 mins and bags waiting for us
You are not required to wear a mask in shops but I’d say 99% did. As for attractions, each one had its own requirements but I’d say 99% mask wearing again. It is law that you have to be double vaccinated for entry into threatens, restaurants, hotels, attractions etc so make sure you always have your vaccination proof handy along with photo ID. They were strict with it

Immigration was quick and easy, straight through with no wait. No mention of Covid etc. Coming back we queued for ages to check in because so many Americans getting on the plane didn’t realise they needed to complete a passenger locator form! I would also say almost everyone wore masks in shops, and even outside! We often put ours on just in the street as we were very clearly the odd ones out if we didn’t! The NYC’s Covid safe app is great to download to store your vaccine proof and ID - we had to show this for all indoor activities or dining. Even if you want to sit in at Starbucks, you need proof of vaccine.
