Best Weight Loss Programme to Follow?
There seems to be so many about that I see advertised. Team RH, Noom, the Body Coach or is it best to go with something more traditional like Weight Watchers or Slimming World?
I keep saying I’ll just do it myself with the my fitness pal app but I just don’t 🙈 However, I’ve been reading up and I’m not sure WW or SW even have face to face sessions anymore so I’m not sure that would work for me. What has worked/ is working for you? Thanks. |

SW are definitely having face to face sessions.
You will find everyone recommends what works for them. And everyone is different. I like the SW program but I lose interest quite quickly so I don’t do particularly well long term. It does work for me when I follow it properly and it’s not hard to follow. |

I've tried them all and find 16/8 fasting really easy to stick to. Especially when
I do it in conjunction with LCHF but I can't get back into that at the moment. |

The Team RH method worked for me 🥰
Personally I started a c25k programme with our local running club and just fell in love with running, went from literally couch potato to ultra marathon runner in 2 years Apologies to everyone who’s seen this a million times! Good luck! It’s great that you’re thinking about it before Christmas as a lot only think about it at new year, but it’s a massive lifestyle change, I’m at target now and although I don’t weight things anymore (or myself for that matter) I still add the calories up in my head

SW has given me a very poor relationship with certain foods due to the way their programme is set up. I've done SW 5? 6? times now over the last 18 years and I'm heavier than ever. However, I won't bash them as I'm sure they work for others.
I found calorie counting (not calorie restricting) worked last year but with everything going on that slipped as well.

I personally think that SW and WW are the wrong way to go about it. If they were so successful they'd not have a business A friend has lost 4 stone with just counting calories and I lost half a stone doing it up until my holiday. It just makes you mindful of what you are eating. The app I use is nutracheck and the premium version is £19.99 a year I seem to remember. You can scan things in and it remembers your faves. It also links into apple watches so shows how many calories you're burning off too

Pretty much all of them are just calorie reduction diets in disguise. Therefore all of them usually work IF you stick to them. So it's finding the one that works best for you mentally.
Calorie counting doesn't work for me but that's because I have an unhealthy relationship with food, so I will skip meals in order to fit "junk" food into my day. Plans like SW are effective for me (when I stick to them) because I can stock the kitchen with free food and then not really think about it beyond that. |

I'm following SW at the moment and 12lb lost in my first 10 weeks. It definitely works if I stick to it and the face to face weigh in gives me the accountability that I need.
I've tried My Fitness Pal and it works for a week but without someone checking on me I soon slip. |

Everything works while my brain allows me to stick with it. Weight loss for me is never about being hungry its getting my brain in the right place and once there any eating plan will work.
I have done well with SW but my relationship with the group leader makes a big difference, we has a great leader but she left, I just dont click with the new one and don't like her personality or presentation so I no longer go. It's amazing the little things that derail healthy eating but that's what I aim for. |
