BA have chosen our seats for us

Bit confused, we fly on Tuesday with BA and I was prepared to logon tomorrow morning and chose our seats (24 hours before)
Have just looked and they have been done for us , right at the back and no seats available to change to
Is this how it’s done now
It still says chose seats 24 hours before on the website

Perhaps all the rest have been booked, pretty sure you can pay for seats earlier than at check in

It also depends on the type of fare

Well if that’s the case I’ve just wasted my money. We fly on Friday and although I was going to wait till online check in, I decided that I really wanted us to sit together, so I caved this morning and booked our seats. Ds is now 13 so I thought there was no chance of them allocating us seats anymore. Oh well, not to worry, at least I know we have seats together and I’m happy for you and anyone else who may have been allocated. Obviously I’m just too impatient 😂

They are awful seats - right at the back near toilets
Would rather have chosen them 24 hours out as usual

Not sure where you are going but some countries require the seat number on the plane on the passenger form, I believe Madeira does but could be wrong.

Not as bad as it could be as passengers aren't allowed to queue for the toilets currently or stand in the aisle
