We did 5 nights in Toronto in an AirBNB, 3 nights in Niagara Falls, 3 nights in Montreal and 3 nights in Ottawa in 2019. It was our first time in Canada and we enjoy visiting museums, art galleries and general sightseeing. It’s easy to underestimate the size of the country - it took us 8 hours to drive from Ottawa to Toronto for our flight home, for example

We did Quebec in 2019. We should have had 5 nights in Quebec City but due to flight delays only had three nights there and three nights in Chicoutimi. I loved it and was bitterly disappointed that we missed two nights. We flew from there to Florida I would have preferred to stay in Canada. We were supposed to do Calgary for the stampede, Banff, Vancouver island and Vancouver last year along with an Alaskan cruise but it was cancelled due to Covid. I really hope we get to go some day.

We did a tour with Cosmos which was 3 nights in Toronto including Niagara Falls day, 3 nights on the VIA train across Canada to Jaspar, coach tour round Banff, Lake Louise, Columbia Ice field, Vancouver Island and then Vancouver. We saw grizzly bears and went whale watching. We followed it with an Alaska cruise add on. I

Most people usually either to go to Toronto/Niagara area, or go to the west coast for Vancouver/Jasper/Banff.
We did Calgary to Vancouver, stopping at Banff, Jasper and Kamloops. So much fantastic scenery (mountains, lakes) and wildlife (bears, deer, moose, eagles) to see

My sister's lived in Ottawa for over 25 years (her husband is Canadian and they moved there just before they got married) so I've been there quite a few times. It's often overlooked although it's the capital city, and that's a real shame as it's really lovely and has a lot of history and character. It isn't too big and is easy to get around, with some lovely older buildings.
