1 full day in Orlando...what to do?

Hello folks!
So my wife and I have 1 day to fill. We have 3 and a half days in Orlando in total (the half day being arriving at the hotel at approx 5pm).

One day we have Discovery Cove
One day we have SeaWorld (ticket included with DC).
So we have a day to fill...but what on earth do we do?

Disney? Universal (a bit blah for me, they seem to be packing it full of simulators?)... Busch gardens?

Argh! Choices!

I should say...
My gut instinct is either Magic Kingdom or Animal Kingdom but it is very pricey for a day.

Can I still do advanced Fast passes if I buy a one day ticket?

no such thing as fast pass any more - look up threads on Genie+ and lightning lanes (which you can buy on the day).

Maybe do Icon park iconparkorlando/tickets-packages/
You both can do the wheel, Sea life centre and Madame Tussaud’s and it be cheaper than 1 of u paying to go into a Universal or a Disney park.
You could then go Disney Springs for the shops and a bite to eat.

Buying a 1 day ticket for a Disney park or Universal park is going to end up being quite expensive. Although, if money was no object, I'd buy a 1 day hopper for Disney and try to fit a couple of parks in one day - probably AK and HS because I haven't seen the new lands at those yet and then catch the fireworks at MK.

However, how about: half day at Aquatica (it's included with your DC ticket) and half a day at Icon park or shopping at an outlet mall?

Really depends what sort of things you are interested in. If your gut is telling you Disney do a full on day, get a park hopper, and do the rides you really want to across the various parks, buying genie+ for the day to help make the most of your time.

From a budget perspective you'll probably have bush gardens included in your ticket, if you like rollercoasters that is a good option, or aquatica for the water park. Also depends if you are driving and when you are going, right now Bush doesn't have any transfers so would be an uber or some other sort of shuttle.

We did one day at Disney in 2019 as we only had a 9 day trip. I surprised the family with an overnight stay at Caribbean Beach and 1 day park tickets, we got park hopper tickets and did Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios, it gave us that little Disney fix that we were missing. Alternatively you could do ICON Park, Wonderworks or mini golf x

You can see a lot in a day, outside of the parks. I would consider exploring all of International Drive, including ICON Park. As well, towards the end of the day head over to Disney Springs for a few hours and stay there for supper and some evening entertainment.
