Volcano Bay v Aquatica

For those of you that have been to both which would be your preferred choice if you could only visit one?

We have only ever been to VB & we are considering Aquatica for next year as a change...is it worth it or should we still to what we know we like?

We did both IN September we didnt do any rides as had our 2 year old with us.
We loved volcano bay. Aquatica we enjoyed the children area with all the small slides but we found it to not be as clean as volcano bay and the lazy river and pool felt slimy at the bottom. I'm glad we went so we can cross it off our list as never been before. Also at volcano bay they had the water things pointed on the path so didnt burn feet walking around but at Aquatica they had a few but you seemed to burn feet a lot more

Volcano Bay all the way. Hands down probably the best water park we’ve ever been to

We have been having the debate on if we should go with our 18month old? Was it worth it or are we better just hanging by the pool at our accommodation?
We’ve been to both before, more after any water park visit with a toddler

Aquatica is a total dive compared to Volcano Bay which is probably the best water park in the world.

The two are worlds apart. Worse day of our Holiday when we went in May to Aquatica. The food was awful, the queues where massive and outdated rides.

Our daughter is a water baby and loves the water park we have done typhoon lagoon with her volcano bay and aquatica she loves the wave pools lazy river and kiddy slides. When it was time to leave she cried we only got her to stop by promising to go in pool back at hotel. We found it easier to keep her entertained at the water park as we spent full days there but only did hour at most in hotel pool.
