Any BA Avios experts who can help?

As a family we have one trip a year, usually Florida with BA.

We have 47,000 BA Avios points but I have to admit that I don’t know if they are even worth anything.

I’m planning on booking our usual fly drive on the GLA-LGW-MCO route and then we stay in a privately rented villa. We try and do one night stay at either a Disney or Universal hotel.

So my question - are these points worth using for anything on my next trip?

It’s all a bit gobbledygook to me.

Ive just used 55000 for a night at the RPR, so you could definitely do a part avios part cash payment for your night at Universal.

We’ve also used them towards car hire. Advantage of booking via BA if you are an executive club member (all levels) is free 2nd driver and all necessary insurances are included.

We tried to use ours for car hire but the website just wasn't having any of it! Going to use some of them for KSC tickets instead - they're under the 'experiences' tab of the BA website.

We have used ours for 2 nights at Cabana Bay Universal. I always use them for hotel stays.

Thanks everyone, it sounds like I might be best to use them towards the hotel.

Probably best to use for the hotel... not sure you can use Avios for a fly drive?... maybe just flight only
I have 90k and looking to use 58k to get £360 off the flights...rest to go towards a night at Universal

I personally never spend my avois on our America holidays as we seem to get more out of them for European holidays. I’m cirrently sitting on my sun lounger in Gran Canaria, having got 2 return flights for 40000 shops woth BA. All we had to pay was taxes on the tickets, which is capped at £35 each on European flights. The actual cost of the flights was about £400 return each (school summer hols) so it was Avios well spent!

Sorry to jump in but how do I use them towards hotels and tickets etc...I’ve only had the option against flights...do I need to use a different website (not BA.com)
