That’s a great view good to see that persistence paid off.
We had the absolute worst room we’ve ever had at SSR this Easter - a ground floor horror overlooking the electricity and full of flies in the darkest corner of the dreadful Carousel. We begged to move rooms but apparently all those lovely run Disney people had checked in earlier than us and also swapped out of the horrid room lol. The post stay feedback form was fun tho?!

Oh no - they've tried to put me in Carousel 2 or 3 times now and I'm always no, it's too far from everything.

Lovely room! Looking forward to seeing what you get up to while staying there. Some Disney Springs trips, I hope!?

We’ve got a standard studio booked in August so we’re hoping for Grandstand area with a golf/woods view. I’d also rather have a walk in shower than a bath but I’ll try not to be too picky.

Yeah the tv is positioned for settee watching but I’d rather it was centred on the bed 😀

There used to be a room in Poly Club level that only ever got used for one night if it was full. Everyone who arrived last and was given it asked to move the following day 🤣

We drive past and always vow to book preferred to avoid it 😀

Yeah, Springs tomorrow I think 😀
We love walk in showers but they’re only available in one beds and above here I think?

I joined Bonefish/Flemings/Carrabbas loyalty scheme last week and then forgot to use it at Bonefish 🤣. So we went back to Carrabbas cos we fancied Italian and had the $10 welcome reward to use.

Caesar salad

House salad with creamy Parmesan dressing

Pinot Grigio / Blue Moon

P’s wine also came with a cute bonus mini app.

Chicken Parmesan

Fettuccini Carrabba

It was all very nice and service was great too. P’s was the best out of the two but she thought they were a little too generous with the peas 🤣

Glad your persistence paid off getting your room sorted.
The Carrabbas meal looks very good again. I always forget about Carrabbas not been for over 20 years.

I agree with P. I feel angry looking at that pasta ruined with the devil’s food. 😈

They have weekday specials and a lunch menu.

Paula’s cheese pizza only should have been $12 but it was half off Monday

My windy city meat feast should have been $16 - I had the choice of half off or soup & pizza for $10 on the lunch special.

French onion soup.

Windy City thin crust.

The soup was average but the pizzas were among the best we’ve had for a long while. Piping hot, crispy crust and loads of decent toppings. We’ll definitely return to try the grill side of the menu very soon. The sarcastic side of me wanted to order another as a takeout and go and drop in in at Gasparilla’s so they could learn from it 🤣🤣🤣

Great service as well, I haven’t looked back through the thread but I suspect it’s the cheapest sit down of the trip so far.

Winter Garden Village worth a trip? Probably the one place we haven't done yet on 7 trips but, having opted to avoid the Parks, it's on our list this time as a possible combined with a trip to Lake Apopka Wildlife Trail.

Some gorgeous rooms and your food looks really good, especially Citricos!

I agree with others that there's no place for peas in a pasta dish
