Getting our first APs
Conflicting advice out there...
Can we buy at the counter near luggage storage at Disneyland Park, or the counter outside the entry gates in Studios? I have read that you can, but also read/heard that you only get a temporary pass that way and still have to go to the Bureau in Discoveryland to have your photo taken before you get the proper pass? We will be paying up front so no need for bank details. Also, tell me about ‘privilege shopping days’ as I see they are on when we’re there!

Studios ticket gate 11/12 you can buy the pass and get it activated there.
You can buy them from any of the ticket booths and they give you a temp pass to enter Disneyland Park then you need to go to the AP office to get photo done etc don't forget to take your passport as ID The privilege days are just extra discount, but usually theres a minimum spend

Usually with privilege days you get 30% instead of 20% (for Infinity at least) but there's a minimum spend (60 Euros last time I was there for one).
I'd get the AP at Studios btw, you only have to queue once and it's quieter than the AP office - I walked straight up at lunchtime. |

As I understand it the annual pass office in the Disneyland Park is only open until around 6pm each day. So if you go to purchase an annual pass at the gate after that time you will go to the Donald Desk and they will process it there for you - otherwise at any other time they will issue a temp ticket for you to take to the annual pass office.
At the Studios Park they will issue annual passes at the specific ticket window at any time since there is no equivalent pass office in that park. |

You'll need your bank details and IBAN number. You can usually print it from your online banking.

Thanks for all the tips. In the end, we went to Disneyland Park (long story which will eventually surface in my trippie) and had to buy the temporary tickets and go to the Bureau. It was mid afternoon so pretty quiet, and no trouble.
One tip I soon learned - if you buy bottles of soft drink, buy them in a shop rather than from a cart. You get AP discount in a shop!
