More quick serve. We prefer it for a more relaxed holiday also. Saves a fortune. And more offsite. I'm going to get a car at Xmas for this reason. Disney is pricing itself out, and quality seems to have ebbed a bit. Ate a fantastic meal at Bahama Breeze with glass of wine and 2 cocktails, $95 incl tip for 4 a couple if nights ago.

Offsite restaurants, we get a more enjoyable meal offsite - plus it is often cheaper. For example we used to adore O'hana but you'll get a much better meal at Fogo De Chao or Texas De Brazil. For steak we opt for Charley's over anything Disney can offer. Perhaps the exception is V&A but we don't do that every trip.

I agree with all the comments Mr Tom has made. We don't drive and have always eaten on site. Last year we found buying D X DDP for just the half of our party that included the 4 kids under 10, comparatively reasonable value, with 12 of us sharing the credits.
Next year we will be a party of 7 including 3 young primary age kids. Probably split stay BCV & BLT in a 2 bed. Probably TIW although we would love to try off site restaurants but put off by the logistics of getting to and fro. Of course there is always the possibility of splitting our party between a studio and 1 bed and using the DXDDP again. Edited at 07:23 AM. |

Interesting to know that those of us who have the flexibility to eat off site and aren’t tied to eating at WDW choose to mainly eat off site.
We will still always visit Via Napoli and Yak and Yeti, but in the future we will likely stick to a few of our favourite DS eateries and off site favourites. Hope you enjoyed your Flo’s fillet YT!

We tend to eat on site as we don't always have a car and it's a bother to head off to a random restaurant by taxi plus any savings in the cost of the food would be used up in transport.
Mostly though, its QS meals and/or food booths at Epcot (usually go to F&W and F&G) but always try fit in California Grill - just for nostalgia (and sushi). |
