Does anyone know more about this?

From what I see on the CDC website it just says:

If you recently recovered from COVID-19, you may instead travel with documentation of recovery from COVID-19 (i.e., your positive COVID-19 viral test result on a sample taken no more than 90 days before the flight’s departure from a foreign country and a letter from a licensed healthcare provider or a public health official stating that you were cleared to travel).

Doesn't mention it needs to be supervised from what i can see?

Following because our whole family is going down one by one at the minute. We might end up cutting it fine for clearing a negative test at this rate. I don’t want to miss the window for getting a pcr if that’s not accepted for recovery.

A positive PCR is definitely enough to get a recovery certificate

I'm just wondering about a positive lateral flow recorded on the NHS app. I had to record it for work but didn't bother getting a PCR test as I didn't have a holiday booked then!

Sorry I didn’t word it properly. I meant we could miss the window for getting a pcr done if LFTs are not accepted for recovery. It does look as though they are adequate though?

Does anyone know whether PCR tests commonplace in the for US diagnosis or do they rely more on LFT nowadays?

I definitely remember seeing on the CDC website that the positive test had to be sent to a lab to count as a positive for recovery. But now I can't see any mention of that and just says a sample taken in the last 90 days.

The websites you can get the recovery letter from don't specify PCR either, just a positive test

The public focused section of the CDC website doesn't explicitly state if a supervised test is required for proof of recovery, but the Airline focused check-list does: cdc.gov/quarantine/pdf/A...ing_UPDATE.pdf

See Part 2.B.2 - same as the pre-departure test wording, which as we know must be supervised.

However, the NHS LFT/PCR data in the app and via notifications doesn't state whether the test was supervised or not, so the airlines don't seem to be considering this.

My daughter completed a supervised PCR after testing positive for covid on the LFT, was issued a recovered from covid cert with NHS QR code, but it doesn't state supervised. Just the test type, date, issuer, etc

Although it doesn't have to be supervised I'm almost certain it has to be a lab based test? Therefore LFT would not work?
