How do you pronounce...

Cinema?

In particular the ma at the end?

Hmmmm, I think I actually say it two ways depending on how I feel! Cinemar, rhymes with BAR sometimes. But more often Cinemuh, rhymes with DRAMA.

I thought there was only one way to say it too, which is cinema where the a is like the a in alive.

But I've recently started listen to kermode and Mayo who pronounce is cinemaar

When I googled it, the pronunciation guide also shows it as cine 'mah'

It sounds very odd to me that way!
