In the past we have had Ford Explorer a brilliant car. Best but for me was it had remote start on key fob. It allowed me to start the car while I was on the tram coming out the parks and by time we walked up to the car it was nice a cool brilliant bit of tech.

Lets think

Jeep Grand Cherokee (3) - nice. DuncanB thinks I'm an old fart
Ford Edge (2) - nice. Boring interior but still nice.

Dodge Journey (1) - The design and driving characteristics of a wheelbarrow. Total dog.

Mazda CX5 (1) - sits between Int & Standard. Lovely car.

Tom. I’ve never had a grand Cherokee but must admit they look great over here in UK. Just looked on website and agree the interior looks a lot better than the ford. Are they 7 seaters or not. Also we fly out end of May so will look out for one of these in the row but I’m a man who likes bells and whistles in my cars what spec should I look for on the jeep to get the best. Do they offer remote start like the ford does?

Martyn. They are a 5 seater. I always pick a model marked Ltd. That seems to be the best.
It does have remote starting.

The Edge has a nice touch. Run your foot under the left hand side of the rear bumper and it lifts the hatch for you.

My aim is always the same. Must have leather. I cannot abide cloth seats.
