If it helps here is the BA Special Assistance number - it is a UK based department (Newcastle) and open 9 to 5 Monday to Friday. The staff are really friendly and experienced.

I booked and it all looks great. One adult, direct flights LGW - MCO and return TPA - LGW came to £680.
When I went to manage my booking it takes me to the BA site and shows the booking as BA World Traveller. Option to book seats and add luggage as normal. This is literally HALF the price of going through BA website! So happy!

We have AA flights booked through BA for our return journey and could book our seats free of charge.

For the baggage, don't forget it isn't all or nothing. You can book hand luggage only and then add just 1 case later. That will be something like £60 each way.

You can then have 1 hold bag that contains all liquids like suncream, deodarant, make up etc, and 1 hand luggage case per person. The BA policy allows that to weigh up to 23kg! Same as hold luggage! So some tight packing and you could in theory still take up to 138kg with you. Though you will probably struggle to get quite that much in each hand luggage case.

yes, that is a good point. I can just check 1 case in. At least in August I know it will be hot as been before that time. My 2 youngest will only need shorts and t shirts so they don't take up much space, 1 pair of shoes each and we will be staying at the yacht club so can always do some washing if need.
