Insurance help

Hi. Following on from my thread the other day about me testing positive for Covid last week and due to fly on Saturday I am still weighing up my options. I’m still hoping to test negetive for flight and praying no-one else in family gets it.
I’ve looked at other dates in May and I assumed flight wise I’ll be allowed to move this. With regards to villa I booked with VRBO and last stage off a refund now. The owner has kindly said I can change dates need be but when I check availability the cost is increasing by £7000! I obviously can’t afford to pay that but at same time can’t afford to lose the money I’ve already paid for this trip. If I did have to cancel this weeks trip would my insurance (Virgin money) cover the money I would lose on my villa? Many thanks. X

Unfortunately I think it would be rash for anyone to answer that question, I am sure anyone would hate to guess at an answer and then have you make the wrong decision. I think you need to call Virgin money.

You need to contact your insurers and ask them - no one on here can answer that as they dont know your policy details etc
