Hi

We are sat by the pool on our last day in Lanzarote deciding where to go in September. I think I have now convinced Kerri to try Mexico. So does anyone have any recommendations of nice hotels with lots to do that are located on the beach. A friend has said Bahia principe Akumal as an option.
Thanks.

We did the El Dorado Seaside Suites last October at Playa del Carmen. Well impressed. 5 star restaurants, a hot tub in your room, and entertainment every night. The room service meals were excellent too. Couldn't fault it. Any problems and your concierge sorts it out there and then. We had a large bathroom area with double sinks and a shower, (toiletries provided) a lounge area, with a huge tv, the biggest most comfortable bed, and the hot tub with bubblebath provided. Loads of bars too. 4 poster sun beds at poolside and along the beach. Same day laundry service too. Well worth the cost. I didn't want to come home.

Hi there we are also on our last day in Lanzarote at the Sandos papagayo.
We stayed at the H10 Riviera Maya 6 years ago for our 25th anniversary, nice hotel and adult only you can also upgrade to the Privilege service.

Thanks. Will have a look.

We stayed at Sandos last year. Really liked it but fancied a change this year. So we are next door lol

We have been to Mexico a few times, I would recommend staying in the Riviera Maya area close to Playa del Carmen, Playa Del Carmen has lots of shops bars etc and is much nicer than Cancun, theres also loads to do in the area such as Xcaret and Xel-ha. We have stayed at the Riu Tequila a few times which we loved but isn't on the beach, but you can also use the facilities of their sister hotels which are on the beach (about 5 min away) Riu playacar and Yucatan.

We stayed at the El Dorado casita suites and it was amazing!

Have heard good things about the Hyatt Zilara too.
