7+ hours at Dublin..?

We have had our flights with BA changed AGAIN! We now arrive around 12 noon from ORD (from Tampa) and flight to Birmingham is at 7.30 pm.

Can we leave the airport? I'm looking into getting a day room but our dates aren't available currently. Does a day room allow over occupancy? Or will we need 2 rooms (will be 2 adults 2 teens)

If you have your second boarding pass and your bags are checked through to Birmingham, then yes you can leave.

Where are you thinking about getting a day room?

You wont really have that much time though.

From wheels down (landed) to going through passport control and then out through arrivals could take up to 1 hour.

Then you will have to get transport to wherever you are going.

Then transport back to the airport

Then back through security and to your departure gate.

You need to be back at the airport about 2 hours before your flight.

So really its only about 4 hours at the day room

This happened to us but we had 5 hours at Heathrow. We got in touch with them over live chat and were moved to direct flights. Worth a try.
