Departing for usa

Don't mind waiting 2 weeks until we fly but just worried if all the reservations get filled up. Will be without a car as we will travel down by train

I’m sure you’ll be fine and if by some chance it’s booked up when you check two weeks out, there are tons of providers that you can order from and just do via video link.

Official guidance hasn't been updated yet. Boris only mentioned the test AFAIK, so I would assume so.

ETA: Announced now - still need to do PLF but it will be simplified.

If you do book the tests well in advance, they're easy enough to cancel and rebook. I think we had about 3 or 4 different bookings that we changed.

We used the drive through Randox facility - obviously not an option if you're on the train - but they were fast and efficient and we has results dead on the hour. Might have been ready sooner, but that was how long it took us to get parked, checked in and sorted to register!

Depends who you book with, I want to do a supervised test at BHX with express test, went thru the order and it says none refundable, I am flying on 9th but going to wait another week to see if anything changes across the pond.

I know I have other options but that one suits me best

We aren't booking ours until the week before. God knows Boris might not even be in charge then, and whoever takes over might re implement all the travel restrictions!
