Where do you book your villa

Other than Vrbo does anyone have any good links for finding villas? The one I booked for our cancelled 2021 is unavailable. We lost deposit with them as booked direct with them, pre covid. Ideally trying to avoid that risk again. Looking for Augusr 2022 so appreciate many are booked already.

I always look on the Dibb first, all the dealings with the owners we have booked through have been very good & never been let down. After that I look on Facebook, and then VRBO.

I always do my research with private villas and check the county tax records to make sure it�s owned by who they say it�s owned by, and that it�s not under offer or the taxes aren�t up to date.

As always, research is key. Ask owners what the policy is especially during these times for cancellations/amendments etc.

I usually book a Dibb villa, but a lot have been sold, or are booked up next year. I also look on directvillasuk and orlandovillas. Had a large response for our dates next year on both sites, but only 2 responses from Dibb villas unfortunately. I found the Facebook villa page very expensive.

I have done very well with Holidaylettings Over the years. Part of Expedia.

I have reasons to be loyal as a Villa was sold from under me just a few weeks before I was due to take occupation for an Easter School Hols vacation and with friends.

They were all over it, sending very good alternatives and in quantity. It was a simple matter to select what turned out to be a great alternative.

They have my loyalty until such time as they give me reason to go elsewhere, having huge stocks, even during School Hols.,
