Ive cancelled our new year trip.

So sorry to hear this. I know how much you were looking forward to it.💜

I’ve recently discovered that my DS12 first vaccine was never recorded and so even if he has a second vaccine, he won’t show as having one. I’m just trying to figure out how to solve this problem. If it’s unsolvable then we too will cancel.

Oh no, I hope you can get this sorted. Did he get a card? My daughter got one in school but I can see her vaccination on the Ni app. Fingers crossed it’ll be sorted soon.
I’m gutted about our trip but sort of relieved at the same time. All those weeks gone by & keeping up to date with all the french restrictions & the will we/won’t we get feels like a weight has been lifted.
I really regret not booking early December, but hey we will hopefully be there on the 30th August!
My fingers are crossed that you can go in February.❤️

He did get a card. The doctors can add it to their records but it won’t show up on the nhs app as it’s a separate database so useless for travel purposes.😩

Why is it so hard? 🤷🏼🤦🏼

I’m so sorry to read this. We were due to be going yesterday, rebooked from our cancelled Halloween trip when my daughter swabbed positive for covid! I cancelled the Christmas trip when all of the additional testing came in, she wasn’t allowed to be vaccinated at her booked appointment as guidelines changed for teens the day before and so has to wait 12 weeks between her positive test and first vaccine, so end of January for her. I had really been looking forward to the break but think it all worked out for the best.

Aww it’s so sad isn’t it? When did those guidelines change as my daughter got her first vaccine exactly 29 days after testing positive, she tested positive on 10th October & got her first jab 8th November.
Hope you manage a trip soon 🤞🏻looks like they are bringing in full vaccination now to get in to the parks so no more recovery certificates or testing, to be debated in January apparently.

My daughter tested positive on October 23rd and was initially told to book for 28 days later, and so we did and were then told that that the guidelines changed the day before!

I’ve emailed to cancel my trip today.

I can’t cope with all the changes, testing, stress of proving DS13 will be double vaccinated (with one of his records missing).

I’m out.

Oh no!🥲
It’s so sad isn’t it? But a relief too. At least when you go on your next trip your son will be double jabbed & hopefully be able to prove it by then.
